Day Five

It's day five and I'm still alive. This has been harder than I expected, granted dealing with sick kids wasn't on my radar when I started.

I'm a huge fan of black & white photography and frequently edit portraits that way, but I tend to forget how beautiful nature photography is when you pull out the color. Simple tree with sparse blossoms.

Day Four

Back on track.

Day Three

I didn't take a picture yesterday, I failed. So I'll do day three and four today. I had picked out what I was going to photograph yesterday, but our plans changed and we didn't make it to the location I'd planned. So I give you, a couple of different perspectives of the same flowers.

Day Two

Today quickly got away from me, I snapped the above picture when my little miss was playing with her brother's cars and said "these both have eyes". I meant to take my camera with me today and had an excellent photo op, but my memory is far from perfect. Tomorrow I'll do better.

Day One

The first day of my 365 day challenge. I'm a bit limited today as I'm home with a sick kiddo, hubby is out of town and I'm pressed for time; however, this isn't that untypical of a day and I'm sure I'll face many more challenges especially when I'll be dealing with many months of winter and snow. Those challenges will be much more difficult than this cloudy spring day.

Without further ado, here are two photos that I snapped today.

I instinctively gravitated towards the blooming bush. Then thought I should take a picture of something I love, espresso beans. Doing a square crop is so far outside my comfort zone, but I really want to push myself to try new things, do different edits, expand my horizons. I'm sure some I'll hate, some I'll love. I'm open to any feedback, suggestions, advice, opinions.
